In class, students finished reading Bronx and we discussed the meaning of the title and some of the characters. We then reviewed for the TEST TOMORROW!

Due: Shel Silverstein Target (all classes except 6th)

In class, students continued working on their poetry anthology! By the END of class on Friday, students will be responsible for turning in a (1) 3-5 paragraph bio. on their chosen poet (2) 3 poems by that poet (3) 3 of their own poems with illustrations and (4) works cited page. **Remember: there are MANY opportunities to earn extra points with this project**

In class, students completed a diamante poem comparing two characters from Bronx Masquerade. Then, we continued reading the book and filling in the character chart. Finally, I explained how to complete the Shel Silverstein target for homework.

In class, we reviewed the poetry practice warm up from last week. We then continued reading Bronx Masquerade and filling in the character chart.
