In class, students created Story Elements folders that they will use to organize information from their literature circle books as they read. Students then had time to continue reading their books and working on their worksheet.

HW: (1) Vocab. Tic-Tac-Toe due Thursday and (2) Vocab. Quiz 2 corrections due tomorrow!

Monday, February 7

In class, students received their 3rd vocabulary list. Then, students were assigned to their literature circle groups and began reading!

HW: Vocab. Tic-Tac-Toe (3 activities) due by Thursday! Illustrations due by Wednesday for those who volunteered.

Friday, February 4

Today students took their vocabulary quiz and then had the rest of the period to read their independent reading books.

Due: Vocab. Activities & Essay

In class, students completed a journal about their favorite book genre. Then, they took brief notes on science fiction and fantasy. We then watched 3 movie trailers and students had to decided if they were science fiction or fantasy movies. Finally, students chose their next literature circle books.

HW: Study for vocab. quiz tomorrow AND bring a book!

Wednesday, February 2

In class, students finished typing their essays and turned them in!

HW: Vocab. Tic-Tac-Toe activities due tomorrow. If you didn't finish your essay today at school, you need to finish it at home to turn in tomorrow!
