In class, students had time to read their independent reading books. Then, we started presenting PSA's!

Monday, April 11

Due: None.

In class, students copied down their new vocab. list for this week. Then, students recorded their PSA's into the iPads.

Friday, April 8

Due: Book in class!

In class, students took their 1st vocabulary quiz of the quarter. Then, students had the rest of class time to read their independent reading books.

Thursday, April 7

Due: None.

In class, students received their iPods (which will NOT be going home for the remainder of this year). Then, they completed the written portion of their PSA project in the computer lab.

HW: Study for Vocab. Quiz 1 tomorrow & bring an independent reading book to class!

Wednesday, April 6

Due: Vocab. Flashcards

In class, students wrote haiku poems following different "rules." Then, students had time to work on their PSA in the computer lab.

HW: Read at home! Vocab. Quiz Friday :)

Tuesday, April 5

Due: Vocab. 1 WS

In class, students had 15 minutes to read their independent reading books. Then, I introduced the PSA project students will work on for the next couple of days. Students then chose their partner and started working on the draft of their radio PSA.

Monday, April 4

Due: None.

In class, students received their 1st vocabulary list for the quarter. Then, they completed a poetry review (it's National Poetry Month)! Finally, students took notes on Radio PSA's and we viewed a few PSA's on youtube.
